"You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously." – Sophia Bush
I believe that experiences and circumstances have a way of changing how we perceive and understand the world around us. They alter the way we act or behave, the way we think, and the way we respond to different events or challenges that may occur in life. I am motivated to serve as a clinician due to persevering personal hardships through childhood and as an adult. I am able to use these experiences along with clinical techniques to create space for others to overcome their own challenges. Therapy is a way in which an individual is able to create room in their own life for reestablishment, growth, empowerment, and resolution. My goal is to facilitate a safe environment in which you are able to recover, refocus, reestablish, and grow. I hope that through this experience you can improve overall wellness and accomplish goals that will improve your lifestyle as an individual.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Penn State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I then attended Carlow University where I obtained a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. I currently hold licensure in Pennsylvania and Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been doing work with individuals who seek therapeutic services for 8+ years.
I have experience working with adolescents and young to middle aged adults. I specialize in assisting individuals who have difficulties with adjusting to major life changes or events, anxiety disorders, depression, and substance use concerns. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma and abuse. I also offer Christian Faith based counseling services to individual seeking counseling related specifically to those viewpoints.
I enjoy working with my clients and am dedicated to supporting their growth and overall wellness. In doing so, I also like to focus on the things that keep me well. I enjoy all aspects of art. I like to paint, draw, and attend local art shows. I am a very social and outgoing person. I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. I find joy in helping and supporting others by participating in different community projects. I am also very adventurous. One thing that I would love to experience is ziplining through St. Maarten.
